Deep roots, bright futures

Fernway Education was founded in 2025 by Rebecca Wilks, an experienced school leader and headteacher.

I have seen first-hand the transformative effect that high-quality teaching can have on children. In my role as headteacher, I was passionate in my belief that effective CPD should be directly linked to classroom practice and closely tailored to the needs of the school. At Fernway Education, we work with school leaders to create bespoke CPD packages, beginning with in-class monitoring to identify strengths and areas for development.

This insight then shapes staff meeting sessions that are purposeful, practical, and focused on strategies teachers can apply straight away. By connecting monitoring with professional development in a continuous and meaningful cycle, we ensure staff meetings are no longer seen as wasted time, but as valuable opportunities to build expertise, drive improvement, and enhance outcomes for pupils.

Martyn's Law

We also deliver training on Martyn's Law Implications for Schools.

Based on our detailed consultation, we will carefully design and provide a bespoke package tailored specifically for your school’s unique needs. This package can include a variety of options, ranging from a comprehensive whole staff or leadership team CPD delivered in a single focused session, to a combination of a CPD session along with an on-site walk to assess the environment, followed by a thorough review that includes practical prompts and guidance for effective policy creation and implementation.
